My Story

My name is Oksana Bessonova. I grew up in a small town called Rubizhne in Ukraine, in a family of entrepreneurs. My parents are an incredible example of love and hard work. Together, they celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary and raised three children. My father always called me and my brothers "two sons and a darling daughter," and this phrase lives in my heart. He traded auto parts, and my mother sold jewelry. In 2002, she decided to try her hand at the wedding business, welcoming brides right in our living room. Five years later, on February 14, 2007, we opened our first bridal salon, Sana, and I happily helped my mom while finishing college.

After graduation, I joined the family business full-time, and together with my mom, we transformed our salon into a place where every bride felt special. We offered a wide range of services and built trusting relationships with our clients. It was a time filled with warmth, joy, and work we truly loved.

But everything changed on February 24, 2022, when war came to our country. Our Sana salon was forced to close its doors, and I had to leave my home and start a new life in America. After living abroad for 2.5 years, I realized I couldn’t give up on my dream — helping brides create unforgettable looks and sharing the magic of their wedding day.

And so, on October 1, 2024, I opened my new bridal salon and launched my first collection of dresses under my own brand — Oksana Bessonova. I have once again found harmony within myself and with my passion, and I look forward to meeting each bride to bring her dreams to life.
